EKV Vice President for Finance Congratulates Bishop Joseph Maria Bonnemain on His Solemn Admission to AV Curiensis.
The Europäischer Kartellverband warmly congratulates Bishop Joseph Maria Bonnemain v/o Pace, Bishop of Chur, on his solemn admission into the Christian student fraternity AV Curiensis (Schweizerischer Studentenverein). The ceremony, marked by deep reverence and Christian fellowship, took place in Chur and highlighted the living tradition of Christian academic associations.
On behalf of the EKV, Vice President for Finance Fabio Nespolo expressed his heartfelt congratulations and emphasized the importance of this moment for the broader EKV community. He noted that the EKV’s network of Christian student associations brings together members from a wide range of professions — scholars, politicians, economists, clergy, bishops, and even cardinals. Christian fraternities serve as a bridge between Church and society, and EKV is especially honored to welcome members of the clergy into its ranks, as it is through dialogue with them that society can build a more meaningful and effective conversation with the Church.
Bishop Bonnemain, known for his pastoral sensitivity and long-standing commitment to dialogue and compassion, has served as Bishop of Chur since 2021. His inclusion into AV Curiensis reflects the strong spiritual and cultural ties between the Church and the European community of Catholic student associations.
The EKV sincerely thanks AV Curiensis for the invitation and warm hospitality and congratulates all those who contributed to this meaningful celebration of Christian unity and tradition.
