Structure
As Federation of Associations the European Federation of Christian Student Assocations (EKV) sees itself as communication, networking and cooperation platform of the existing Christian students‘, scholars‘ and university Associations in Europe.
Currently the EKV has 14 member associations (see Associations | Verbände). At least once a year they meet in the so-called „Kartellverbandsversammlung“ (Cartell Association Assembly).
In addition to the Associations the EKV also unites 19 fraternities and sororities (see Fraternities | Verbindungen), which are directly members, because they cannot belong to an Association. These are organized by the Curia of Free Associations within the EKV, or simply „Free Curia“. The Curia is managed by its own chairmanship, consisting of four persons.
The entire European Federation of Christian Student Assocations is led by a chairmanship (see Chair | Präsidium), consisting of the President, their Vice Presidents and a General Secretary. They have a term of at least two years.
The chairmanship is supported through the EKV-Council. Here are leading personalities from the fields of religion, science, politics and art united. The Council supports the initiatives of the EKV and its chairmanship.
For controlling the chair and to settle dispute arising between the members, the internal arbitration court is appointed. Therefore the member associations send five judges in total. The organs and members are required to submit to the decisions of the tribunal.
Struktur
Der Europäische Kartellverband (EKV) besteht als “Verband der Verbände” und versteht sich als Kommunikations-, Netzwerk- und Arbeitsplattform der in Europa existierenden christlichen Schüler-, Studenten- und Akademikerverbänden.
Momentan hat der EKV 14 Mitgliedsverbände (siehe Associations | Verbände). Diese treffen sich mindestens einmal im Jahr bei der sogenannten Kartellverbandsversammlung.
Neben den Verbänden weist der EKV auch 19 Verbindungen (siehe Fraternities | Verbindungen), welche direkt Mitglieder sind, weil sie keinem Verband angehören können, auf. Diese werden zusammengefasst und organisiert durch die Kurie der freien Vereinigungen im EKV, oder einfach „Freie Kurie“. Die Freie Kurie wird von ihrem eigenen Vorstand, bestehend aus 4 Personen, geleitet.
Der gesamte Europäische Kartellverband wird durch ein Präsidium (siehe Chair | Präsidium), bestehend aus Präsidenten, sowie seiner Vizepräsidenten und einem Generalsekretär, geleitet. Dieses hat eine Amtsperiode von mindestens zwei Jahren.
Das Präsidium wird durch den EKV-Rat unterstützt. Hier sind herausragende Persönlichkeiten aus den Bereichen Religion, Wissenschaft, Politik und Kunst vereint. Der Rat unterstützt die Initiativen des EKV und steht dem Präsidium beratend zur Seite.
Zur Kontrolle des Präsidiums und zur Schlichtung entstehender Streitigkeiten zwischen den Mitgliedern ist das verbandsinterne Schiedsgericht berufen. Dazu entsenden die Mitgliedsverbände insgesamt fünf Richter. Die Organe und Mitglieder sind verpflichtet, sich den Entscheidungen des Schiedsgerichts zu unterwerfen.
